Planet earth is full of beauty and mystery. When we talk about the beauty of of nature, we usually imagine waterfalls, widely expanded green and peaceful forests , bees and birds sucking nectar from the flowers, seas, skies, rain and alot of other invigorating sights.

But what almost none of us imagine is a desert. Do we? You can involve in lots of adventure here like desert safari.Well in this post I am going to point out one of nature’s absolute marvel: The Desert.

1. Sahara Desert

Sahara Desert is the most largest and beautiful desert built by nature. It covers most of Northern Africa, making it almost as large as Europe or the United States. The Sahara stretches from the Red Sea.

The Sahara covers large parts of Algeria, Chad, Egypt, Libya, Mali,Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Western Sahara, Sudan and Tunisia. It is one of three distinct physiographic provinces of the African massive physiographic division.

2. Australian Desert

The Australian Desert is the second most biggest desert. This desert covers a large portion of the land in Australia. Most of the deserts lie in the central and north-western part of the country. The largest part of Australia is desert or semi-arid. The size of the deserts in Australia combined is 1,371,000 square kilometres (529,000 sq mi), and occupy 38% of the continent.

3. Arabian Desert

The Arabian Desert comes in top 3 deserts. It is a vast desert wilderness stretching from Yemen to the Persian Gulfand Oman to Jordan and Iraq. It occupies most of the Arabian Peninsula with an area of 2,330,000 square kiliometers or (900,000 square miles).

Temperatures range 40–50 °C (104–122 °F) in summer, with an average temperature of 5–15 °C (41–59 °F) in winter, though it can go below 0 °C (32 °F).

Saudi Arabia shows lower summer temperatures 30 °C (86 °F) with cold winter temperature (5 °C (41 °F), with frequent frost), with average rainfall of less than 80 millimetres

4. Gobi Desert

Gobi is a large desert region in Asia. It covers parts of northern and northwestern China, and of southernMongolia. The desert basins of the Gobi are bounded by the Altai Mountains and the grasslands and steppes of Mongolia on the north, by the Hexi Corridor and Tibetan Plateauto the southwest, and by the North China Plain to the southeast. The Gobi is most notable in history as part of the great Mongol Empire, and as the location of several important cities along the Silk Road.

5. Kalahari Desert

Kalahari is a large arid to semi-arid sandy area inSouthern Africa extending 900,000 square kilometres (350,000 sq mi), covering much ofBotswana and parts of Namibia and South Africa, as semi-desert, with huge tracts of excellent grazing after good rains. The Kalahari supports more animals and plants than the other deserts. You can say its a good and friendly desert.

This is the desert where you can see predators like lion, Cheetah,Hynas, Jackal etc. Most of the National geographic and Discovery’s shooting has been done here.
