If you visit Geneva, you will easily notice various men looking like bank managers. They will themselves talk to you and if you show even a slight interest, they will explain you in details the facilities their bank will provide, if you open an account.
They will try to tempt you. After opening an account, you will be served tea and you will be offered a 100-franc cheque for free. Your name, address, date of birth are mentioned in the bank, but you do not have to produce any documents in their support. They treat your passport number as the sufficient proof. It takes only 10-15 minutes to open an account. If you want to deposit a sum of  some dollars, you are given a debit card too. To your dismay, you are told that in case you have considerable amount of money, you have to simply email them. They will look after your money and get it deposited. It is an altogether different thing that whatever number you choose, you have to stash the money on the basis of password on the number provided by the bank itself.

To provide an account  number is a farce in the name of secrecy. Panama, Bahama, etc., have banks with international transaction, established in 3-4  room buildings. All the money deposited is insured and the premium for every insurance is deducted in advance. The interesting fact about such accounts is that all the money is tax-free. Due to this fact, these places are called “tax havens”.
