Redwood National and State Parks

The adventurous Redwood National and State Parks (RNSP)  are located along the coast of northern California in the United States. Comprising Redwood National Park and California’s Del Norte Coast, Jedediah Smith, and Prairie Creek Redwoods State Parks.

These parks are covered with a magnificent forest of sequoia redwood trees, the tallest and most impressive trees in the world. The marine and land life are equally remarkable, in particular the sea lions, the bald eagle and the endangered California brown pelican. The combined RNSP contain about 540 km²  forested land. Located entirely within Del Norte and Humboldt Counties, the four parks, together, protect 45% of all remaining Coastal Redwood old-growth forests, totaling at least 157.75 km^2.

Information

Abel Tasman National Park is a national park located in South Island of New Zealand. The park was founded in 1942. With a coverage of only 225.3 square kilometres, is the smallest of New Zealand’s national parks. The park consists of forested, hilly country to the north of the valleys of the Takaka and Riwaka Rivers, and is bounded to the north by the waters of Golden Bayand Tasman Bay. It is named after Abel Tasman, who in 1642 became the first European explorer to sight New Zealand.

The Great Pyramid of Giza also known as  Pyramid of Khufu and the Pyramid of Cheops is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids in the Giza. It is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the only one to remain largely intact.

Darjeeling

It is a beautiful adventurous hill station situated in West Bengal state of India. Darjeeling is an internationally renowned as a tourist destination, along with its tea industry and the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, it is hill town headquarters of Darjeeling district with a partially autonomous status within the state of West Bengal. The town is located in the Mahabharat Range or Lesser Himalaya at an average elevation of 6,710.

Five-Flower Lake, China

Five Flower Lake is the most amazing and beautiful lake of all bodies of water in the region. Broad color palette are caused by calcium carbonate and hydrophytes, which also left a crystal-clear water.

K2 - 8,611 m

K2, also known as Godwin Austin, is considered the world’s toughest and challenging mountain to climb. It is located on the border between Pakistan and Xinjiang, China. It is the second highest peak in the world. It is known as the Savage Mountain due to the difficulty of ascent. The first ascent was in 1954, by Lino Lacedelli and Achille Compagnoni – 2 Italians.

The London Eye welcomes an average of 3.5 million customers every year. You would need 6,680 fully booked British Airways Boeing 747-400 jumbo jets to move that number of fliers, it can carry 800 passengers per revolution – equivalent to 11 London red doubled-decker buses.

Each rotation takes about 30 minutes, meaning a capsule travels at a stately 26cm per second, or 0.9km (0.6 miles) per hour – twice as fast as a tortoise sprinting; allowing passengers to step on and off without the wheel having to stop.

The Baatara gorge waterfall is a waterfall situated in the Tannourine, Lebanon. This waterfall drops 255 metres  into the Baatara Pothole, a cave of Jurassic limestone located on the Lebanon Mountain Trail.
