Amazing Tree Houses – Feel the magic in the lap of Nature

The upcoming era is an era of Eco friendly world. As a young child or perhaps even an adult, who hasn’t dreamed of living tree houses? Some structures are built on trees or hung from trees, but some unusual tree house building designs are even grown from trees or built right into a tree. Some people live in trees as a luxury, some to help save the environment and others out of tradition or necessity. Here are ten incredible tree house designs that range from functional to fanciful, sustainable to strange and affordable to incredibly expensive.

1. Treetops

This picturesque treehouse is set in the beautiful Cumbrian countryside and was featured as part of Discovery Channel’s ‘Tree Team’ series. 

The main structure of the treehouse has been built about 4 meters off the ground just to one side of the main tree. The exterior of the treehouse is finished with a combination of rustic sawn “waney edge” timber cladding and cedar shingles set in a random style, whilst the inside is lined with soft wood tongue and groove cladding.   A secondary drinks deck for the adults has also been built and is connected to the treehouse via an exciting rope bridge. The drinks deck is set high up in a pine tree on the edge of a rocky outcrop with fantastic views back towards the  home and out across the countryside.

2.The Enchanted Forest

This two-storey children’s fantasy treehouse is built in a forest next to a small river in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside. The structure features a large room and open turret with a ladder leading up through a secret trap door into an upstairs hide away. It is fully equipped with a log-burning stove, lighting and electrics.

This rustic tree house is full of character and provides a beautiful and exciting place for the client’s children to play. The structure features a climbing wall, slide, basket and pulley and a rope bridge to a second deck.

5. Woodland Haven

This treehouse was constructed to provide an adventurous outdoor play area for the children.  The exterior of the treehouse is lined with a combination of cedar tongue and groove cladding and randomly fixed cedar shingles. It features a wide range of play accessories including, a secret trap door, a cargo net, a fireman’s pole, monkey bars, two different styles of swing, a slide and last but not least a basket and pulley to lift items up to the treehouse.  Fully fitted with electricity, it will provide an ideal place for hours of imaginative play no matter what time of year.
